Such Strong Feelings

It's a strange thought, but I'm quite thankful to be a human. We never really consider it something to say thanks for...but think about it. It's a magical thing that we so narrowly missed being brought into the world as some other creature of God's imagination. With our humanness comes so much that nothing else in creation is privy to. Today, though, and for the past couple of weeks, I've been reflecting on how great it is to be able to feel.

   By now, today is no longer simply November 6, 2012, so if today was the day you were planning to propose to your significant other, on behalf of the free world, you may wanna wait a day. 

Home Alone 2: Lost in Thought

   In my post-college life, I've come to know a great number of freedoms and perks. Washing dishes when I feel like it? Fantastic. Buying food at the grocery store just to binge-eat it as soon as I get home? Awesome. And nothing will ever beat the joy of not having a bedtime. 

   Yeah, those are all pretty sweet deals, and I generally enjoy living the life of a carefree bachelor. But their is one massive disadvantage to the post-college life that no one prepared me for.

   The crushing, debilitating loneliness. 

Crossed Trails & Cajun Confessions

   First off, I have no excuse for being absent from your blog notifications for so long. If it helps, I have been seriously busy for the past month or so: day camp, family vacation, camp camp, lakehouse retreat, and the National Youth Gathering. This is the first day in a very long while that I've been able to breathe and not worry about getting my laundry done before bed.

   If I'm being honest, I would have to say that I wanted to wait and process all of these things after the fact, instead of forcing some revelation each weekend as if it were glue that was left open overnight.

In trying to come up with Top Ten Tuesday gimmicks that fell outside the realm of television and movies, I decided to scrap the concept altogether. But fret not! I have conceived an idea to fill the void.
